This morning whilst on the train to work, a group of high school kids boarded the train. Regretfully forgetting my headphones that morning, I couldnt help overhearing their loud conversation about prom, fashion and high school puppy loves. The discussion carried on to how they get to their ice skating rink destination.

They were obviously confused and me being a regular at the skating rink, I explained to them that there were 2 places to skate, north side(which is the train line we were on) and south side(inaccessible by public transport, where they were trying to go). They heard me out and logically, they would stay on the train to head north side to skate instead of south side(lack of transport?). But for some unknown reason, the girls were quick to get off the train although they were on the right track to their destination much to the guys(and my) surprise.

Is this how women react to change? is that how they react in other aspects of life?…Stopping their journey to re-evaluate all their options and does that make them bad decision-makers?

Alot of girls I know are indescisive by nature about everything, food, clothes, men?…This doesnt neceserily make them bad decision makers per say as they will take everything will be factored into consideration. “This stock is going down, how about all their subsidaries, are they affected as badly?”, “This house is nice, but for the price we are paying, is the neighbourhood safe for our kids in the future?”

I actually believe that makes them very good decision makers when it comes to educated ones. Although, when you put feelings into the equation, everything becomes a catch 22 and it turns into ”Why didnt that guy ask me out? Am I too fat? or is it what im wearing?”

and although those girls who decided to get off the train werent quick enough to get back onto the train, I hope they managed to catch the next one….
